Our client, a leading provider of electrical, energy, and engineering solutions, based in Nairobi, is seeking to fill the role of a Technical Sales Technician

JOB SUMMARY

The Technical Sales Technician will be responsible for driving sales growth, providing technical product support, and building strong customer relationships

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities for distribution boards, control panels, and power management units.
  • Conduct site visits to gather technical requirements and prepare accurate quotes, BOQs, and proposals. 
  • Present and demonstrate power board solutions to clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Work closely with the production teams to ensure client specifications are delivered accurately.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across industries.
  • Achieve monthly sales targets and maintain a healthy pipeline.
  • Provide after-sales support and maintain high client satisfaction levels.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and provide insights for product improvement.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in technical sales, electrical systems, or power solutions.
  • Knowledge of power distribution systems, panel boards, SLDs, MCCBs, breakers, and general electrical products.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings, interpret load schedules, and prepare BOQs.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Valid driving license is class BC
